Apamea remissa Hübner, [1809]
Dusky Brocade
Common and widespread across the islands. The flight period is from June to August over grassland, machair and gardens. The larvae feed on a range of grasses. A thoroughly confusing species. Not only does it have three forms, it is very similar to several other species.
