A well-marked species when fresh, there is just one pre-1900 record from Lewis followed by single examples from North Uist 2011 and South Uist 2018. This conifer species flies from May – July, the larvae feeding upon Norway Spruce Picea abies and Sitka Spruce P. sitchensis
