Eucosma cana  (Haworth, 1811)

Hoary Tortrix

A common species on the wing from late May to August. Found in coastal vegetation, grassland and scrubby areas. The larval food-plants are various thistles in the family Asteraceae and common knapweed (Centaurea nigra).
