Eucosma hohenwartiana   ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Common Knapweed Tortrix

A common species on the wing from late June to August. Found in grassland, including machair, woodland rides and scrubby areas. The larval food-plant is common knapweed (Centaurea nigra). It can be confused with Eucosma cana as they have a food-plant in common.
