Agriphila tristella  ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Common Grass-moth

Common and widely recorded predominantly in the southern islands. An easily recognised grassland species with a creamy-white stripe down the wings. Abundant from July to September over grassland, including machair. The larval food-plant is a range of grasses.
