A widely distributed species but rare in the Outer Hebrides, first recorded in the Isle of Lewis in 2012 with just one subsequent record. Active from June to early August in broadleaved woodland. The larvae use several woody plants including birches (Betula spp.), hazel (Corylus avellana) and honeysuckle (Lonicera periclymenum).
