Common and widely recorded across the islands. The fight period is from May to June over scrub, gardens and hedgerows. The larvae feed on willows (Salix spp.), hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and brambles in the family Rosaceae.
