Grapholita compositella   (Fabricius, 1775)

Meadow Tortrix

First recorded in 2011 from South with just ten subsequent records. The main flight period is from May to August, but it occasionally has two generation; this is most likely further south. Found over coastal grassland, including machair, and dunes. The larval food-plants are numerous and include bird's-foot trefoil (Lotus corniculatus).
