Family: Geometridae Checklist Number: 70.191
Carsia sororiata (Hübner, 1813)
Manchester Treble-bar
Scarce with a 1974 record from Harris and just three modern records. It’s possibly overlooked as some of its preferred habitat is damp moorland, which is often remote. The fight period is from July to September. The larvae feed on moorland sub-shrubs such as bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus).
