Colocasia coryli  (Linnaeus, 1758)

Nut-tree Tussock

First recorded in 2010 with a few subsequent records, the majority from one site on South Uist, with two from Lewis. The flight period is May to June in broadleaved woodland. The larvae feed on trees and shrubs including blackthorn (Prunus spinosa), hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) and fruit trees.
