Pandemis cerasana   (Hübner, 1786)

Barred Fruit-tree Tortrix

A scarce species, not recorded on South Uist until 2010 with an earlier record from Lewis. All records, with the exception of one, are all from the same woodland site. A woodland species active from June to August. Several deciduous tree species, especially fruit trees, are used by the larvae.
