Phaulernis fulviguttella  (Zeller, 1839)

Yellow-spotted Drab

Quite a scarce species across Scotland with just one record from South Uist in 2016. It is often found resting on the flowers of favoured foodplants during the day in July and August. Hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium) and wild angelica (Angelica sylvestris) are the main foodplants.
