Scarce and first recorded on South Uist in 2009 and in in 2010 on South Uist and Benbecula. The only other record for the Outer Hebrides was pre-1900. Active from June to July. Heather (Calluna vulgaris) and possibly bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) are the main foodplants
