Chloroclystis v-ata (Haworth, 1809)

A scarce moth in Scotland biased towards the south and south-west. The Outer Hebrides is at the extreme of its north-western range. It was first recorded here in 2010 with just two subsequent records, all from South Uist. Active from April to August in two generations over urban habitats and gardens. A range of mainly herbaceous plants are used by the larvae.
