Zeiraphera griseana  (Hübner, [1799])

Larch Tortrix

First recorded in the Outer Hebrides in 2010 with a few subsequent records from the southern islands. The flight period is June to September mainly associated with the food-plants, conifers. These include the typical plantation species, Norway spruce (Picea abies) and Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis). Also, larches (Larix spp.), which are used as boundary trees in commercial plantations.
