Zeiraphera ratzeburgiana   (Saxesen, 1840)

Spruce Bud Moth

First recorded in the Outer Hebrides in 2010 with numerous subsequent records from the southern islands. The flight period is June to September mainly associated with the food-plants, conifers. These include the typical plantation species, Norway spruce (Picea abies) and Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis).
