Argyresthia pygmaeella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)
Sallow Tip Moth
Sporadic and seemingly coastal across Scotland but well represented on the southern island of the Outer Hebrides. The food-plants are Betula species and alder (Alnus glutinosa). The flight period is late May to early September.
