Clostera pigra (Hufnagel, 1766)
Small Chocolate-tip
A rare species, designated as Nationally Scarce B. There is an old record from Barra in 1974 and discovered on Eriskay in 2013. The flight period is from May to July in open damp areas such as moors and heathland. The larvae feed on various willows (Salix spp.) and aspen (Populus tremula).
