Common Footman

First recorded on South Uist in 2013 with five subsequent records as of 2024. On the wing from May to July over urban areas, gardens, croft-land and coastal dunes. The larval food-plants are lichens, algae, hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) and similar sub-shrubs.
