Barred Chestnut

Very small numbers found in suitable areas of broadleaved woodland from August to September. The larvae feed on a variety of plants including bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus), bramble (Rubus fruiticosus agg.), willows (Salix spp.) and birches (Betula spp.).
