Diacrisia sannio  (Linnaeus, 1758)

Clouded Buff

First recorded in 2011 with just two subsequent records. This brightly coloured moth flies in sunny weather over heathland or moorland in June and July. The larval food-plants include several herbaceous species such as sheep's sorrel (Rumex acetosella), devil's-bit scabious (Succisa pratensis) and plantains (Plantago spp.) as well as heathers (Calluna and Erica spp.).
