Family: Geometridae Checklist Number: 70.163
Eupithecia lariciata (Freyer, 1841)
Larch Pug
A scattered distribution across Scotland, which will reflect the distribution of larches (Larix spp.), the larval food-plant. There is just one record for the Outer Hebrides, recorded on South Uist in June 2011. The flight period is from June to August. Larch is planted as a ‘border’ tree to commercial plantations, so more finds are possible.
