This small, brightly coloured moth is a migrant and has been recorded on just three occasions on the Outer Hebrides between 22nd September - 24th October. Larvae have been recorded feeding upon knotgrass (Polygonum aviculare), though the species is unlikely to breed on the Outer Hebrides
