Entephria flavicinctata (Hübner, 1813)
Yellow-ringed Carpet
A very localised species of rocky places and gorges, with a stronghold in central and north-west Scotland. Until 2022, when it was recorded on Lewis, there were only two records from South Uist (2009 and 2016). The larval food-plants include English stonecrop (Sedum anglicum) and various saxifrages (Saxifraga spp.).
