Micropterix aruncella  (Scopoli, 1763)

White-lines Pollen-moth

Widespread in Britain but only a small number of records from South Uist as of 2024. It is probably overlooked due to its tiny size. On the wing from June to July, especially on buttercups (Ranunculus spp.). Males identified by two vertical white stripes across the forewings.
