Leucoptera spartifoliella (Hübner, [1813])
Broom Stem-miner
A minute white moth which can be found by gently tapping its food-plant, broom (Cytisus scoparius), in late June to July. An earlier search of broom stems in May or June could reveal the tiny silken white pupal cocoons. A scarce species.
