A female netted off heather in the hills near South Glendale, South Uist on 18 July 2013, is the only record as of 2024 for the Outer Hebrides. The smallest moth in the genus, barely 4mm long. On the wing in June and July over heather moorland. The larvae feed on heather (Calluna vulgaris) and bell heather (Erica cinerea).
