Emmelina monodactyla Linnaeus, 1758
Common Plume
A rather distinctive member of the ‘plume moths’ with its narrow, curved, forewings. It can be found all year round, but the few Outer Hebridean examples were in April, October, and November. The larval food-plants are field bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis) and Calystegia species.
