Clepsis senecionana  (Hübner, [1819])

Tawny Tortrix

First recorded on South Uist in 2011 with a few records since but from just two or three site. The flight period is April to June over boggy and damp grassland and heather moorland. Several low-growing species are used as food-plants including bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus), bog-myrtle (Myrica gale) and even conifers.
