Epinotia tenerana  ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Nut Bud Moth

Recorded in small numbers from South Uist and Barra. The species is associated with damp woodland. The larvae spend the winter in the catkins of alder (Alnus glutinosa) or hazel (Corylus avellana), moving into the leaf buds in the spring.
