Dichrorampha alpestrana ([Zeller], 1843)

Northern Yarrow Moth

Frequently recorded, all from South Uist. The adults occur from May to August over coastal grassland, including machair, and scrub. The larval food-plants are yarrow (Achillea millefolium), tansy (Tanacetum vulgare).
