Dioryctria simplicella  (Heinemann, 1863)

Drab Pine Knot-horn

Rare with just three records, two from South Uist and one from Lewis. Appears from April to September in woodlands, scrub, plantations and gardens. The food-plants are Corsican and Scots pines, which are not common here.
