Acrobasis advenella  (Zincken, 1818)

Hawthorn Knot-horn

Rare, first recorded from South Uist in 2014 with no subsequent records. The flight period is June to September. Found in hedgerows, scrub, gardens and woodland. The main food-plant is hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna).
