Scoparia pyralella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)
Meadow Grey
Infrequently recorded with a few records from South Uist. Active from May to August flying in the late afternoon and evening and coming to light. Largely a coastal species found over machair, sand-dunes and gardens. The main food-plant is ribwort plantain (Plantago lanceolata).
