A scarce species but very small numbers found on both North and South Uist from July – early September. Easily over-looked amongst the hordes of commoner ‘grass veneers‘ present at that time of year. The larvae feed upon a wide range of grasses which include Common Saltmarsh-grass Puccinellia maritima and Poa species
