Rare in the Outer Hebrides, just two records in July 2010 and July 2018. The flight period is July to September over machair and sand-dunes. The larvae feed on several grass species including sheep’s-fescue grass (Festuca ovina) and tufted hair grass (Deschampsia cespitosa).
