Least Yellow Underwing
Mainly a southern species in Scotland with a handful of west coast records for the Hebrides. There are four records for the Outer Hebrides as of 2024. On the wing from July to early September across open habitats such as machair, sand-dunes and gardens. The larvae feed on a wide range of herbaceous and woody plants including meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) and willows (Salix spp.).
