Anaplectoides prasina  ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Green Arches

Widespread in Scotland but largely missing from the northern and western islands. There are four records for the Outer Hebrides all trapped within a 9-day period near Stornoway, Lewis, in 2016. The flight period is from June to August mainly in broadleaved woodland. The larvae feed on a range of herbaceous and woody plants such as honeysuckle (‎Lonicera periclymenum), bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) and brambles in the family Rosaceae.
