Pheosia tremula (Clerck, 1759)

Well distributed across Scotland but increasingly scarce towards the north and west. First recorded in South Uist in 2016. The flight period is from June to August in woodland, scrub and established gardens. The larvae feed on various willows (Salix spp.) and aspen (Populus tremula).
