Scallop Shell
A very distinctive species found in open, damp woodland. Rarely recorded in northern Scotland and, until 2023 when it was found on Lewis, there were only 3 records from a site in South Uist. The larvae can be found on Salix (willow) and Vaccinium myrtillus (bilberry).
