Ancylis diminutana  (Haworth, 1811)

Rufous Hook-wing

First recorded on South Uist in 2014, which was also the first record for Scotland. It was formerly a subspecies of the similar Ancylis geminana. The food-plant, willows (Salix spp.), is common, so it may be under-recorded. The flight period is May to August. This specimen was dissected, and the rather poor dissection was shown on the dissecting forum where it was accepted.
