Idaea dimidiata (Hufnagel, 1767)

Single-dotted Wave

Newly recorded on South Uist in July 2017 with a second in June 2023. A pretty little moth found in woods, hedgerows, gardens and often in damp areas. Larval food-plants include cow parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris). An unexpected addition to the island list.
