Hyppa rectilinea  (Esper, 1796)

Saxon

A widespread, if uncommon, species in mainland Scotland (Nationally Scarce B). Three records to date (two South Uist, one North Uist), the first seen in June 2018. An attractive species flying during May and June. The larval foodplants include Sallow (Salix spp.), Brambles (Rubus spp.) and bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus).
