Goldenrod Case-bearer

A rare moth throughout Scotland with just one record for the Outer Hebrides, caught in a light-trap on South Uist in July 2013. The flight period is June to July over a range of habitats where the larval food-plants grow, which are goldenrod (Solidago virgaureae) and sea aster (Aster tripolium).
