Clepsis consimilana (Hübner, 1817)

Rufous Tortrix

A scarce species in Scotland with a few scattered, mainly coastal records. The first record for the Outer Hebrides was light trapped in Stornoway in July 2025. It can be found in gardens and urban areas in June to July. The larvae use woody plants as a food source including honeysuckle (‎Lonicera periclymenum), common ivy (Hedera helix) and privets (Ligustrum spp.).
