Family: Ypsolophidae Checklist Number: 17.003
Ypsolopha dentella (Fabricius, 1775)
Honeysuckle Moth
A scarce species in Scotland with various clusters around the coast but missing from the north-west. The current record was light-trapped in Stornoway in July 2025. A single generation flying from June to September. The larvae would seem to feed exclusively on honeysuckle (Lonicera periclymenum). Steve acknowledges that it’s a poor image put it’s all we have at present.
