Family: Coleophoridae Checklist Number: 37.022
Coleophora lusciniaepennella (Treitschke, 1833)
Willow Case-bearer
First recorded in 2010 with just five records to date all from South Uist. It should be more common as the preferred habitat of boggy moorland is widespread. The food-plants are willows (Salix), bog-myrtle (Myrica gale) and occasionally birches (Betula spp.). Active from June to July.
