Widely recorded across the islands with well over a hundred records, biased towards the southern islands. The fight period is from May to July over scrub, gardens and hedgerows. The larvae feed on willows (Salix spp.), hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) and brambles in the family Rosaceae.
