Orthosia incerta  (Hufnagel, 1766)

Clouded Drab

A common species, variable both in colour and markings. Active from March to May in a range of habitat including woodland. A wide range of broadleaved trees and shrubs are used by the larvae including willows (Salix spp.), hazel (Corylus avellana) and hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna).
