Dysstroma citrata (Linnaeus, 1761)
Dark Marbled Carpet
An uncommon moorland and woodland species found from July to August. It can be confused with arran carpet (Dysstroma truncata concinnata) and common marbled carpet (Dysstroma truncata). The larvae have similar food requirements, that is: mainly woody shrubs such as willows (Salix spp.) and heather (Calluna vulgaris).
